The Short Scale Bass
This was designed by a guitar player for guitar players. I had never been a fan of playing bass, so I had set out to design something that would be an easy transition between my 6 strings and bass. At a 30.2" scale, this does the trick. The shape and contours also help ease the transition. It's simply a fun bass to play.
4 and 5 String Configurations
Many bridge and pickup configurations are available. Hipshot A and Kickass bridges are my favorite. MM, Jazz and P Bass pickups are also available.
Multiple options for top and back
Shown here with a solid ash body with a black, open grained satin finish. Flame maple with natural binding is also a popular option.
Contours for Days
Both semi hollow and solid body versions have comfortable contours for arm and tummy relief. It also feature a cutaway on the body at the neck for a slimmer feel for playing higher up on the neck.
3 or 4 over 1 Contoured Headstock
Hipshot Ultralite or Gotoh Res-O-Lite tuners are a goto for this model.
